Consent Kansas City
CKC operates as an independent group
We reserve the right to accept/deny vetting to any kinkster regardless of references. This also means that we operate based off our own compiled vetted list. We will no longer be accepting vetting from prior dungeons/venues. You will need to fully vet with CKC and if you attend a CKC event, no matter what your status is with any dungeon/venue, we require you be vetted with our group in order to engage in dungeon play.
Event/Venue Vetting Requirements and Information
Why Not Wednesday
Vetting is NOT REQUIRED to attend Why Not Wednesday events. However, suspension/ban protocol will be followed and enforced. If you would like to inquire about your ban/suspension status, please send a message to our profile on Fetlife.
First Time Fridays
Our revamped newbie night has returned! Vetting for this event is NOT REQUIRED. However, unvetted members will not be allowed to engage in dungeon play until they have become fully vetted by Consent Kansas City. We will also be enforcing our suspension/ban list at these events.
Consent Kansas City Events
CKC events such as play parties, auctions, campouts, etc. WILL BE CLOSED to all non-vetted members unless otherwise specified.
Vanilla Events
Some events like our Nights with the Nillas and other various vanilla events may not require prior vetting. If prior vetting is required, a note will be indicated in the event posting.
Venues
Being vetted by Consent Kansas City will not entitle you entry into any independent venue/dungeon. Neither will vetting done by an independent venue/dungeon entitle you access to CKC events However, it can be a great reference to have been vetted by Consent Kansas City or any other venues/dungeons. If CKC holds an event at a venue with independent vetting policies, vetting instructions will be listed in the event posting.
Each event Consent Kansas City hosts will have a note indicating if prior vetting is required. Please be sure to check the event details for each event for instructions if vetting is required!
Vetting Process
FOR THOSE BRAND NEW TO CKC
For anyone who is new to CKC, but not to kink, you must follow the following criteria:
You must fill out our vetting request form by clicking HERE and providing us with three fetlife references that we can reach out to. Be sure to ask their consent to use them as references, inform them we will be reaching out so be on the lookout
Once we have checked, messaged and received responses from your references, if they are all in good standing, we will reach out to you letting you know you are fully vetted.
Must sign the CKC consent waiver and show ID for verification purposes at first event (this is a one time step for CKC, you will however be required to show your ID at the door of the venue during registration check in).
FOR THOSE NEW TO KINK
For anyone who hasn't attended an event or is truly new to kink (no references or experience), they must follow the following criteria:
You must fill out our vetting request form by clicking HERE. If you are truly new and have no references please list that you have no references.
We will reach out to you via message and let you know the process that you will need to follow in the case you have no references. We have also listed it below:
All new members will need to attend 2 First Time Friday events and listen to the Newbie welcome and guidelines speech as well as meet with the facilitators (they will be identifiable by the Rainbow Lanyards that they wear. Please also see a list of Facilitators on our fetlife page. They will also need to be sure to sign the newbie sign in sheet at check in so we can mark that kinksters attendance was present and make sure we get newbie vetting completed within a two month period.
Must sign the CKC consent waiver and show ID for verification purposes at first vetted event. This is a one time step for CKC, you will however be required to show your ID at the door of the venue during registration check in.
Fully Vetted Members
A person is considered fully vetted with CKC if they have met the following criteria:
The person has completed all vetting paperwork for both CKC and venue listed and all references have come back in good standing
The (new) person has attended the required amount of First Time Fridays if they have no references for us to reach out to.
The person is in good standing with the CKC Facilitator Staff (meaning you have at least met with us)
The person is not currently on any ban lists within the immediate community.
The person is not on any sex registry and does not have any legal current/outstanding sexually oriented issues.
If you have met this criteria, you are most likely already on our vetted list, however it is YOUR responsibility to message the Consent_KC profile and inquire about your vetting status to confirm if you are on our list. If we request a re-vetting because we do not recognize you, please understand that our team tries as best they can to get to know everyone, but refreshers may be necessary.
Before Events
New members must be vetted BEFORE the day of the event. Remember, WNW does NOT require vetting.
Established community members seeking to be added to the vetted list must do so at least 24 hours before an event is scheduled to begin. Late requests may be denied.
If you purchase a ticket to an event and fail to be vetted in a timely manner, refunds will not be an option.
Banned & Suspended
Those who have previously received communication from Consent Kansas City with a ban or suspension are asked to exclude themselves from all CKC events including those co-hosted by CKC. If you have been banned from a specific venue and we are made aware of it by venue owners, you will also be asked to not attend CKC events held in that space.
CKC FACILITATORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO BAN OR SUSPEND ANY PERSON WITH JUSTIFIABLE CAUSE DEEMED BY THE STAFF MEMBERS. We take banning and suspending seriously and will not do so unless cause is justified, discussed amongst the facilitators and decided as a whole. A short list of reasons for bans/suspensions is as follows:
Being a current person on any state sex offender registry or domestic violence list
having an open case for sexual, or physical misconduct
Report(s) of consent violations from venues and kinksters
Having an open legal document (restraining order, ex parte etc) stating you are not allowed to be around certain people
Disobeying and disrespecting CKC rules and leadership
Openly stating false accusations or general public bad mouthing on social media and in person platforms
Exhibiting racist or sexist behavior in event settings (this includes Why Not Wednesday)
Please note that at the end of the day, we are not the kink or relationship police. We do expect kinksters to hold their own personal responsibility when it comes to communicating about what is considered consensual to them and when that consent has been revoked. We work hard to make sure these are respected, but we are only human as well, if you feel your consent has been violated and need to make a formal report, it will need to be written and sent to CKC. We cannot go off of word of mouth when handling consent violations.
Refund Policy
We are a rain or shine event group! This means that we will not be offering refunds for any reason other than the event being cancelled.
Guest Policy
At this time, CKC has decided that we will not be allowing vetted guests to bring unvetted guests to CKC vetted events. All members must be vetted at least 24-48 hours prior to the event. You may however, bring guests to unvetted events.
The Bottom Line
Consent Kansas City Facilitators hold sole discretion when making vetting decisions for CKC events.
Vetted status may be revoked at any time at CKC’s sole discretion.
Facilitators work hard to provide fair and equal opportunity to all members and work hard to keep those members respected in a safe and consenting space.
