Kansas City Rope Collective

KCRC Mission Statement:

The purpose of the Kansas City Rope Collective is to create an inclusive and safe environment for those interested in rope and rope-adjacent activities, for all roles and aspects, where we can learn from each other and foster community through decentralized participation and consensus-driven decision making.

This is not a group. It's just a space where people to get together to talk about rope stuff. There will not be any classes, but there will be a place to hang out and tie. Sometimes we will watch cool videos and tie together. We may take a look at a tie, deconstruct it and then discuss it. The space will be used to try new teaching approaches or new ties.

This space is like Switzerland. There are no political leanings. This space is about rope bondage. This is a space where I keep my dreams about what a rope space could be.

Rules:

  1. Don't be an ass

  2. No means no

  3. Diversity is a strength

  4. Keep your politics (lifestyle, or political leanings, at the door)

  5. Respect everyone's pronouns

  6. Each one Teach One

  7. All rope is good rope

  8. Respect the space and make sure to stay on your best behavior
